Surprising findings on diseases and longevity in vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores (which most meat eaters are).
Dr. Michel Greger (who is a vegetarian) found that not only did meat eaters live just as long as vegetarians.
But there was one area in which vegetarians fared much worse.
Vegetarians were twice as likely to die of neurological disease. (brain problems).
His recommendations were Omega-3 and Vitamin B-12.
These are important for everyone by the way. His suggestion for Omega-3s is flax seed. Flax seed must be ground before eating it otherwise we don’t digest it. There are other sources of omega-3s both vegan and non-vegetarian.
Vegetarians must supplement B-12. As sould others – but that is another discussion.
